Two People Die in Car Crash Caused by Sober Man Driving the Wrong Way on I-275

Blood tests drawn from a man who crossed into oncoming traffic on I-275, crashing into and killing two people, came back negative for drugs or alcohol according to Metro South Post.

The man reportedly was driving southbound around 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2017 when he crossed over the center median and traveled a mile against northbound traffic before crashing into another car, killing both the driver and the passenger.

Police did not release the names of the driver nor the victims. The investigation has been completed and turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor for review.
